Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of Recaller Book, at recallerbook.com ("the Service"). By creating an account or using the Service you agree to them.

1. Who operates this service

Recaller Book is operated by Alan Gomes, trading as a sole trader (persona natural) established in Chile. There is no registered company. You can reach the operator at [email protected].

2. What the service is

Recaller Book aggregates vehicle safety recall campaigns published by official government sources, currently:

We normalise, deduplicate and index that material so it can be searched in one place, and we refresh it daily. We do not create recall campaigns, and we are not the source of record for any of them.

3. Accuracy, and what this service is not

We take reasonable care, but we do not warrant that the database is complete, current or free of error. Source feeds change format, go offline, publish late, and sometimes contain mistakes of their own. Absence of a recall in our database does not mean no recall exists.

Recaller Book is independent and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any vehicle manufacturer or government agency. Manufacturer and model names are used only to identify the vehicles a campaign applies to.

4. Accounts

Accounts are created by email, using a single-use sign-in link. You are responsible for keeping access to your email address secure, and for activity that happens under your account. Tell us promptly if you believe your account has been used without your permission.

One account is for one person or one business location. Do not share credentials.

5. Subscriptions, renewal and cancellation

Paid plans are sold as monthly or annual subscriptions and renew automatically at the end of each billing period until cancelled. You can cancel at any time from your account, which takes you to Paddle's customer portal.

Cancelling stops future renewals. Your access continues until the end of the period you have already paid for. Refunds are covered by our Refund Policy.

Prices may change. If we change the price of a plan you are already on, we will tell you before it takes effect, and you may cancel rather than accept it.

6. Acceptable use

You may use the Service for your own business or personal purposes, including advising your own customers. You may not:

The underlying recall information comes from public government sources and we claim no ownership of it. Our compilation, normalisation, translation and presentation of it are ours.

7. Availability

We aim to keep the Service available but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may change or discontinue features. If we discontinue the Service altogether while you hold an unexpired paid subscription, we will refund the unused portion.

8. Liability

To the extent permitted by law, our total liability to you in connection with the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, including lost profits, lost business, or loss arising from reliance on recall information — see section 3.

Nothing here excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud. If you are a consumer, your statutory rights are unaffected.

9. Suspension

We may suspend or close an account that breaches these terms, or where payment fails and is not resolved. Where the breach is not serious we will give notice and a chance to fix it first.

10. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. Material changes will be notified by email to account holders at least 14 days before they take effect. Continuing to use the Service after that means you accept the new terms.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Chile, and the courts of Santiago, Chile have jurisdiction. If you are a consumer resident in the European Union or United Kingdom, this does not deprive you of the protection of mandatory consumer rules of your country of residence, or of the right to bring proceedings there.
