What Recaller Book is
Recaller Book is a subscription database of vehicle safety recall campaigns published by national authorities. Records are aggregated from official government sources and indexed so they can be searched in one place.
It is not a vehicle history or background-check service. We hold no registration, ownership, finance, mileage or VIN databases; we do not report on individual vehicles; and we hold no personal data about vehicle owners. Whether a specific vehicle is affected by a campaign is determined by the manufacturer, not by us.
Where the data comes from
Every campaign comes from what a national authority publishes — its open-data feed where one exists, otherwise its official alerts website — never from forums or guesswork. Official safety wording is stored verbatim and shown in its source language rather than machine-translated, and each record links back to the original notice.
