How to check if your Scania has a recall

A recall covers specific build dates and vehicle identification numbers (VINs), not every Scania on the road. To see whether yours is affected:

  1. Look up your VIN or registration on the official recall checker for the country where the car is registered: DVSA (UK), MLIT (Japan), Traficom (Finland), KBA (Germany), MOLIT (South Korea), EU Safety Gate (Netherlands).
  2. Ask an authorised Scania dealer: recall repairs are free, including on used cars and cars serviced elsewhere.
  3. Add the car to your watched vehicles on Recaller Book and get an email when a new campaign is published for it.

Full details for every campaign — defect, risk, remedy, affected build dates and the official notice — are in the database. Watching your vehicle is free: we email you when a new recall is published for it.
